UniCarriers Corporation was established at the end of November in 2011. In August 2012, TCM Corporation and Nissan Forklift Co. Ltd. joined the company as subsidiaries. Both companies have over 50 years of history and experience with their product lines, as well as many talented employees.
Both companies have grown and developed their customer base over many years. With each having different backgrounds and their own strengths, the two merged in April 2013 to create new original values as UniCarriers. UniCarriers was born with a team of 4,938 people worldwide including newly hired employees with fresh perspectives.
For the product range, in addition to forklifts, we have port cargo handling machinery as well as transfer cranes, reach stackers, container management systems and AGV’s. Additionally, there are industrial vehicles such as shovel loaders, skid steer loaders and wheel loaders. We also handle key components such as single engines or single attachments to meet the various needs of customers.
Not only do we provide new vehicles, but we also offer used vehicles with added values. Throughout the life cycle of the vehicles, we engage ourselves in daily activities with the focus on maintaining and building the trust of our customers, which is embodied in our brand message of “A Life Time of Trusted Value.”
We have our sales and service networks in more than 100 countries around the world - about 40 countries in Asia including Japan, about 20 countries in South and North America, and about 40 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We also have development facilities and production factories in 4 regions - Japan, North America, Europe and China. We are committed to our local production for local consumption system in order to provide products that meet the needs of customers quickly in each region.
For logistics machinery, port cargo machinery and industrial machinery, there are regulations for the emission of gas to prevent global warming and to reduce environmental pollution. There are also environmental related regulations such as chemical regulation and waste regulation. In addition, there are social subjects such as product safety and labor safety that must be considered. We have been complying with these regulations and reviewing these subjects proactively. One example is how we have promoted safety education through our software.
In the future, we would like to challenge all of our employees to partner with us in addressing these difficult subjects. With the contributions of each employee and by realizing the results of those contributions, we will strive to contribute to the development of customers in the logistics market worldwide. By doing so, we hope that each employee will grow together with the company.
